The Tuncurry-Forster Jockey Club was granted a licence to conduct race meetings on the Tuncurry track in 2008. The announcement was made by the Minister for Racing, Kevin Greene. The Jockey Club had fulfilled the requirements and had a licence to start racing.
The Tuncurry-Forster Jockey Club has now secured four TAB meetings per year.To finish this project the club needs another twenty horse tie ups, the road tar sealed, a new callers tower with amenities and a number of other improvements.
Our committee consists of a dedicated team of racing enthusiasts who continue to strive to improve the layout and facilities at the club. We organise and host a variety of exciting events throughout the year including our general race days.
Without the fantastic work of our dedicated volunteers, our club would never have been more than just a dream. Our volunteers are the life behind our club and will continue to be an integral part of our future as the club continues to hold local racing events.
We are so lucky here at Tuncurry-Forster Jockey Club to have such wonderful support from members of the sporting and racing community. Get to know some of our Ambassadors and their history with the racing industry.
